Florida law expects you to protect client data
The Florida Information Protection Act requires businesses that hold Floridians’ personal information to take reasonable measures to protect it.
After a breach, affected Floridians must generally be notified within 30 days.
If 500 or more Floridians are affected, the Florida Attorney General’s office must also be notified within 30 days.
